He briefed that this legislation will deal with all the issues like trade, licensing, and mining.

Amin shared his thoughts on the legislation and said it “specifies all issues related to cryptocurrencies, including how to provide fuel and energy for mining them, and how to grant licences.”

## Accepting crypto as a payment method to evade sanctions

Iran is facing financial sanctions globally for enriching Uranium for its nuclear program. The United Nations, as well as the EU, have imposed several restrictions on the country. Though it also uses the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism, its algorithm is not the same. Instead of BTC's SHA-256 algorithm, it relies on the X13 PoW, which helps in making it compatible with various graphic user interfaces (GPUs) needed for mining.

Bitcoin Diamond did not hold an initial coin offering (ICO). However, 10 BCD tokens were distributed to BTC holders for every Bitcoin. In the initial days, its price was around $60 and peaked at $104.84 on November 25, 2017. 

But since then, the coin has seen chiefly a downward trend. Its price is only around $0.1975, and it recently hit its lowest of $0.136 on June 13, 2022.

The Japanese government plans to upgrade its cryptocurrency taxation laws for the fiscal year 2023. 1.	The new law will lower the tax on digital assets from 55% to only 20% for startups.

3.	Only Profits that are generated from trading will be taxed.

4.	Firms will have the option of carrying losses for the following three years.

## What makes HyperFund doubtful?

Here are some of the reasons why it sounds dubious:

•	Its affiliate program promises a massive ROI of 300% if you continue to contribute.

•	Many verified HyperFund reviews suggest that the company runs on a Ponzi scheme. 

•	Its website does not provide much information about the firm’s owners. 

•	The United Kingdom’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has not registered the company and has directed investors to beware of this unauthorised firm. 

•	The company is a part of New Zealand’s list of scams maintained by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA).

•	As per the information available on the website, it is unclear what services it provides as a DeFi platform. 

•	Authorities in Guernsey also recognised it to be a controversial firm. 

## Is HyperFund a scam?

The platform runs a membership reward program. Previously, it was membership 1.0 that offered up to 300% profits in 20 months of investing. However, as the platform has upgraded to HyperVerse, it has introduced Membership 2.0. 

This reward program promises 4x rewards. If you invest 300HU, the platform claims to reward you 1200HU. Meanwhile, it also pledges 0.3% daily rewards. And to be part of this reward program, you at least need to invest 125 HU. Moreover, users can earn further rewards when they refer the platform to others.

These profits sound too good to be true. The reviews from the members of this reward program suggest that the company is a scam. Most users complained about not receiving any revenue even after months of investment. 

Furthermore, it has been recognised as a scam by the financial authorities of the UK, New Zealand, and Guernsey. 

Therefore, HyperFund checks most of the boxes for a Ponzi scheme.

HyperFund review: is HyperFund a Ponzi scheme?

Ukraine has recently located and taken control of a crypto wallet  allegedly involved in raising Russian funds to support military efforts in the invasion of Ukraine. According to the Security Services of Ukraine (SSU), they have blocked Russian crypto wallet used for sponsoring the war in Ukraine. 

The wallet belongs to a self-proclaimed volunteer for the Russian invasion of the country. SSU has also detained the person and is undergoing further investigations. 

## Russian crypto wallet holding over $19,500 seized

Ukraine’s SSU also shared that the account had cryptocurrencies worth up to $19,500. The intelligence agency is currently tracking the previous transfers. Moreover, they have not made a decision yet on whether they will transfer the assets to Ukrainian jurisdiction or not.

The SSU gathered the intel from several international cryptocurrency firms. And they used a specified ‘mechanism’ to seize the Russian crypto funding. 

## Revelations from the investigation 

The national police and the Prosecutor General carried out the investigation. The investigations revealed that the alleged Russian military volunteer used a significant amount of the funds to buy weaponry. It was to facilitate the separatist militants from Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republic (L/DNR). 

Moreover, it was revealed that the alleged person was running campaigns on social media to raise funds. Since the start of the Russian invasion, he has constantly been creating digital content and sharing content with others. However, they did not disclose the identity of the person yet.

## Crypto and the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Digital assets have been a part of the Russia and Ukraine war since the beginning. These assets have been used to facilitate both countries’ militaries.
