## What is the SOL token?

The SOL token is the governance token of the Solana blockchain. The Solana blockchain is a hybrid PoH (proof-of-history) and PoS (proof-of-stake) blockchain consensus that allows for deploying smart contracts and processing transactions on-chain.

## Musk wants Twitter to have new leaders.

Musk [revealed](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-says-expects-reduce-163849041.html) on Wednesday that he expects his time at Twitter to be reduced as he looks for new leadership for the company. He previously fired CEO Parag Agrawal, other top executives, and the entire board of directors. Now, the billionaire intends to hire someone to run the social media company in his place.

Musk revealed this during his testimony in Delaware court in defence of Tesla's $56 billion pay package. He explained that he would stay for the time being because the company needed to be reorganised as a result of the acquisition. He does, however, explain that once Twitter is in a strong position, he will bring in new leadership.

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO and founder of Twitter, had responded negatively to a question about whether he would be open to returning as CEO. Dorsey is already working with BlueSky, a decentralised social media competitor to Twitter.

## Dogecoin Twitter impact

Dogecoin's value has recently been tied to the possibility that Elon Musk will initiate a Dogecoin Twitter integration Initially, making DOGE one of the cryptos used for the "Tip Jar" feature was expected. However, there are now calls for the memecoin to be added as a payment mode for "Twitter Blue".

However, Musk has yet to say anything definitive about a Dogecoin Twitter integration. This is despite the Tesla CEO's continued support for DOGE and promotion of it as the ["people" crypto](/news/article/doge-crypto-elon-musk).

[Dogecoin](/news/article/should-i-buy-dogecoin) (DOGE) has dropped 20.10% to $0.08, following the broader market sell-off and in response to [FTX and Binance's](/news/article/ftx-vs-binance-liquidate-funds) moves.

Investors are concerned that Dogecoin's decline could be a starting point for price destruction. These jitters may end the DOGE bull run in 2022 with a year-end price of $0.06.


What do changes to Twitter mean for Dogecoin?

## Token swap between XDB ERC-20 and Mainnet tokens

Initially, the platform used the XDB [ERC-20](/news/article/weth-vs-eth) (Ethereum Request for Comments 20) tokens as its natives. However, last year, the blockchain changed its protocol and launched version 2.0 with Mainnet tokens. That’s why the previous tokens needed to be swapped with the newer ones. 

The platform decided to integrate the mainnet chain with all its supported exchanges to make the process easier for the users. Through this procedure, exchanges seamlessly interchanged users' ERC-20 tokens into Mainnets with 1:1. The platform allocated a time window for each exchange. 

During this period, exchanges paused withdrawals and deposits of the previous tokens, but allowed trades. The process allowed the users easy access to the mainnet tokens without needing manual swapping. Most of the blockchain’s compatible exchanges like [Gate.io](https://www.gate.io/), [KuCoin](https://www.kucoin.com/), Digifinex, and Bitpanda backed this procedure. 

## XDB news confirms extension in token swap date

Most exchanges that supported this procedure have already carried out token swaps. The [KuCoin exchange](https://news.monitalks.io/news/article/where-can-i-buy-moonbeam-crypto) was the last among them to do so, which closed the swaps on 7 October. However, the [XDB news blog](https://medium.com/digitalbitsorg/this-is-the-very-last-chance-to-swap-xdb-erc-20-to-mainnet-99c8f6b2f1ae) revealed that some users could not swap tokens within the proposed period. 

To facilitate such users, an Italian-regulated exchange, [Coinbar](https://coinbar.io/), presented a plan. It has extended the cut-off period. The DigitalBits mainnet went live on Coinbar on 18 October, and its token swaps will continue till 31 December 2022.

After the end of this cut-off period, XDB ERC-20 tokens will be removed permanently. From 1 January, 2023 onwards, you can use Mainnets on the platform for transactions. 

## Bottom line

DigitalBits’ ERC-20 token is going to be removed permanently from the platform. Though it announced the cut-off date to be 7 October on KuCoin, there has been an extension. According to XDB news, the last date to swap the previous version for a new one will be 31 December on Coinbar.

Although the coin started to lose popularity in July, the action to freeze more than 75,000 circle coins of funds associated with 44 [Tornado Cash](/news/article/tornado-cash) addresses was a turning point that led to backlash and a wave of withdrawals.

Even MakerDAO, which had a significant portion of its reserves backed in USDC, viewed Circle's actions as a breach of privacy rights. •	Crypto Bulls Club made a Bitgert price prediction ranging between $0.00001061 and $0.00001167 for 2023. For 2024, the Bitgert predicted price is $0.00003383 while stating a range of $0.000089 and $0.000098 for 2025.

The [Phala Network](https://www.phala.network/en/) is a decentralised cloud computing protocol that aspires to compete with traditional cloud computing services like [Google Cloud](https://cloud.google.com/) and [Amazon AWS](https://aws.amazon.com/).

Cloud computing is the operation of large, web-based data repositories that provide computing resources to end users, such as data storage and computing power. Excess capacity from everyday computers can be used with the Phala network, resulting in a more distributed approach to cloud computing and storage.

Phala intends to provide these services via a decentralised, global network of computing resources that can scale for performance while maintaining confidentiality and security.

To accomplish this, the network employs two types of "worker node" participants who allow the network to function:

1.	Gatekeeper nodes: Interactions between network users and interactions with other blockchains are organised by gatekeeper nodes. They also maintain the blockchain state and consensus rules.
2.	Miner nodes: Miner nodes run a CPU network and perform various computation tasks by renting computer power to the network.

The network benefits from using two different types of nodes to divide consensus and computation responsibilities.

The Phala team launched Khala (PHA) on the Kusama network to provide a cloud computing network on its platform. In July 2021, Khala secured the fourth parachain slot auction.

## Who developed Phala?

Phala Network Foundation founded the company in 2018 and is led by former Google Software Engineer Hang Yin and former Tencent Product Manager Marvin Tong.

Since 2019, the company has raised $1.68 million through two rounds of private token sales, resulting in the distribution of 15% of the initial token supply to investors. Three Web3 Foundation grants were also awarded to the project.

In September 2020, the PHA crypto token was released as an Ethereum token. In 2021, it was released as a Kusama token.

## Phala Network's purpose

## How does Phala function?

Phala is being developed as a [Polkadot parachain](/news/article/polkadot-parachain-auctions), or a custom blockchain that feeds into the main [Polkadot](/news/article/polkadot-price-uk) blockchain, known as the Relay Chain. Polkadot's shared security, transaction settlements, and consensus are all handled by the Relay Chain. Phala gains access to Polkadot's core features via integration with the Relay Chain.

Furthermore, Phala believes that as a parachain, it will be quick to connect to the other parachains built in the Polkadot ecosystem. The computations required to ensure transaction validity and network integrity are performed by participants, who send requests to the network as transactions, and miner nodes.

EverGrow is a passive income platform built on the BNB Chain that compensates holders of its native token with [stablecoins](/news/article/kuji-coin). 

EverGrow pays its holders in BUSD, a Binance-based stablecoin. Transaction costs from buying, selling, and transferring EGC create rewards. According to the project's whitepaper, 8% of all transaction fees are redistributed to holders, with the remaining 2% going to a liquidity pool on the Binance-based DEX Pancake Swap.

## Evergrow coin price - What is EverGrow? 

According to CoinMarketCap, EverGrow's native token was the 3,250th largest cryptocurrency as of 2 September, with a self-reported market valuation of $91m.

According to their website, awards are computed based on the amount of EGC held and the daily volume. 
BUSD, when specific volume criteria are met, is distributed; low transaction volume may result in a longer threshold trigger period. ## The action of EverGrow coin price 

EGC interest peaked a few weeks after its inception when EGC token transfers began to surge. On 7 October, 2021, less than a fortnight after the debut of the EverGrow Protocol, EGC was selling for $0.00000006575, according to CoinMarketCap data. Ash token, or ASH as it’s referred to on Pancake Swap, claims to be a project that supports corporate ESG initiatives. According to [CoinGecko](https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ash-token), the token addressed on the [Binance Smart Chain](https://www.bnbchain.org/en) at 0xe3c1bdeec4db91cd90c336776332fae2e00fddd9 is indeed live and shows a standing supply of ten trillion tokens. The ASH crypto token is available only through Pancake Swap. At this time, this project does not appear to be legitimate.

## How does ASH function?

According to their website, the ASH token is governance-based, supposedly allowing token holders to decide how the initial token sale is allocated. The ASH crypto website claims that additional liquidity will be generated through transaction fees. It does not prove any of this through any technical documentation or verification.

How this token will support transaction fees still is to be seen. ASH token is on the Binance Smart Chain and can only be bought via Pancake Swap. This is then used to fund the creation of something called the Phoenix Launchpad. This is the "ecosystem" in which ASH token holders will be involved.

The website says that the ultimate goal of ASH is to create something called a Phoenix token. The company claims it will use a proof-of-work (PoW) mechanism that mints the tokens based on an amount of pollution removed from the environment, determined by the type of pollutant.

The project has a [website](https://www.ashtoken.io/), a [whitepaper](https://www.ashtoken.io/pdf/ASH_PHOENIX_WHITEPAPER_130821.pdf), and a teams section with what appear to be real LinkedIn profiles. However, there is an apparent lack of oversight and regulatory approval. It claims that it will fund eco-initiatives and even has a section for applications to something called the Ash DAO Fund, a fund that is supposed to support green tech and clean tech projects.

With the [large number of crypto scams](/news/article/crypto-hacks-peaking-october) out there, it's worth waiting to see if further developments and news are coming out of this project. Anyone can create a token on PancakeSwap, and it's important that due diligence is conducted when looking at any potential investment.

The article was published towards the end of September. It shared the researchers’ views on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and insisted on a common token to reduce Asia’s dependence on USD.

The analysts further proposed that this China token will work like most existing [CBDCs](/news/article/india-cbdc-launch). That’s why it would leverage distributed ledger technology (DLT). wMEMO is a wrapped stablecoin which has a set value. As its price started to fall below this value, the firm opted for the buyback strategy. To increase the cost of wMEMO, the firm used its treasury fund to buy the coins from the market. Temporarily, there was an improvement in its value. However, it did not work well in the longer run. The bearish market continuously affected the coin's price.

#### 2. Overleveraging & Investors liquidating their assets
Secondly, as the buyback strategy was public, many investors joined the campaign to make profits. They took loans to purchase more wMEMOs and pledged their existing coins as security. So, when the value of wMEMO continued to decrease, investors liquidated their funds to pay off debts. With more liquidation, the price dropped further. This jeopardised the firm's financial state as the overall debt constantly increased. 
The debts also caused a delay in the airdrops. Airdrops are a percentage of coins acquired as a venture capital fund. Three airdrops needed to be distributed among investors between December and January. However, all of them got delayed, causing more suspicion among investors. 

#### 3. CFO Sifu's controversial background
One of the significant blows for Wonderland crypto was the controversial background of its CFO. Investors started to lose confidence as its pseudo-anonymous CFO, Sifu, turned out to be Michael Patryn. He is a convicted felon for the $100 million scam through a Canadian exchange. Patryn disappeared with the money in 2019 and launched Wonderland in 2021.

Patryn also worked with the lending firm, Abracadabra and MIM for this project. Meanwhile, Abracadabra Money founder, Daniele Sestagalli, declared that he knew about Patryn. But the CFO himself withdrew millions from the treasury before exiting. Though the firm tried to cover it up as compensation for his services, it raised many questions about a rug pull attempt.
