A break in the SOL/GBP above £28 could encourage bulls to fight further and push the token back above the £30 resistance level. If it manages to maintain this level, the next test would be at the £33 resistance level, which broke due to the latest outage of October.

Solana labs is expected to release its first phone, Saga, in the first quarter of 2023. If all goes well, a rally could occur by pushing the token's price well above the £40 mark.

Thus, it may not be the best time to trade BNB for GBP.

Alternatively, Ambcrypto suggests BNB will hit $781 in 2023. Similarly, Changelly predicts BNB will only be as low as $1,122.96 in 2025 but could rise as high as $1,270.31. Also, crypto exchange CoinDCX predicts a bullish end to 2024 will make the beginning of 2025 positive for BNB.

Musk [revealed](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-says-expects-reduce-163849041.html) on Wednesday that he expects his time at Twitter to be reduced as he looks for new leadership for the company. He previously fired CEO Parag Agrawal, other top executives, and the entire board of directors. Now, the billionaire intends to hire someone to run the social media company in his place.

Musk revealed this during his testimony in Delaware court in defence of Tesla's $56 billion pay package. He explained that he would stay for the time being because the company needed to be reorganised as a result of the acquisition. He does, however, explain that once Twitter is in a strong position, he will bring in new leadership.

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO and founder of Twitter, had responded negatively to a question about whether he would be open to returning as CEO. Dorsey is already working with BlueSky, a decentralised social media competitor to Twitter.

## Dogecoin Twitter impact

Dogecoin's value has recently been tied to the possibility that Elon Musk will initiate a Dogecoin Twitter integration Initially, making DOGE one of the cryptos used for the "Tip Jar" feature was expected. However, there are now calls for the memecoin to be added as a payment mode for "Twitter Blue".

However, Musk has yet to say anything definitive about a Dogecoin Twitter integration. This is despite the Tesla CEO's continued support for DOGE and promotion of it as the ["people" crypto](/news/article/doge-crypto-elon-musk).

[Dogecoin](/news/article/should-i-buy-dogecoin) (DOGE) has dropped 20.10% to $0.08, following the broader market sell-off and in response to [FTX and Binance's](/news/article/ftx-vs-binance-liquidate-funds) moves.

Investors are concerned that Dogecoin's decline could be a starting point for price destruction. These jitters may end the DOGE bull run in 2022 with a year-end price of $0.06.


What do changes to Twitter mean for Dogecoin?

The platform decided to integrate the mainnet chain with all its supported exchanges to make the process easier for the users. Through this procedure, exchanges seamlessly interchanged users' ERC-20 tokens into Mainnets with 1:1. The platform allocated a time window for each exchange. 

During this period, exchanges paused withdrawals and deposits of the previous tokens, but allowed trades. The process allowed the users easy access to the mainnet tokens without needing manual swapping. Most of the blockchain’s compatible exchanges like [Gate.io](https://www.gate.io/), [KuCoin](https://www.kucoin.com/), Digifinex, and Bitpanda backed this procedure. 

## XDB news confirms extension in token swap date

Most exchanges that supported this procedure have already carried out token swaps. The [KuCoin exchange](https://news.monitalks.io/news/article/where-can-i-buy-moonbeam-crypto) was the last among them to do so, which closed the swaps on 7 October. However, the [XDB news blog](https://medium.com/digitalbitsorg/this-is-the-very-last-chance-to-swap-xdb-erc-20-to-mainnet-99c8f6b2f1ae) revealed that some users could not swap tokens within the proposed period. 

To facilitate such users, an Italian-regulated exchange, [Coinbar](https://coinbar.io/), presented a plan. It has extended the cut-off period. The DigitalBits mainnet went live on Coinbar on 18 October, and its token swaps will continue till 31 December 2022.

After the end of this cut-off period, XDB ERC-20 tokens will be removed permanently. From 1 January, 2023 onwards, you can use Mainnets on the platform for transactions. 

## Bottom line

DigitalBits’ ERC-20 token is going to be removed permanently from the platform. Though it announced the cut-off date to be 7 October on KuCoin, there has been an extension. According to XDB news, the last date to swap the previous version for a new one will be 31 December on Coinbar.

## Genesis Global Trading halts withdrawals and new loan originations

Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, the largest Bitcoin fund, dropped 7% on Wednesday as investors dumped more digital assets following the high-profile collapse of crypto exchange FTX last week.

Genesis Global Trading, a cryptocurrency investment bank, tweeted that the company was [temporarily halting withdrawals and new loan originations services](https://www.independent.co.uk/tech/bitcoin-price-genesis-crypto-latest-b2226380.html) because of FTX's fall.

[Genesis](https://twitter.com/GenesisTrading), the most recent victim of FTX volatility, is owned by Digital Currency Group (DCG), which also owns Grayscale.

DCG tweeted that the freezing of Genesis' lending business did not affect the company or its wholly-owned subsidiaries.

Grayscale stated that its products would continue to be fully operational, and its underlying assets would be unaffected. Genesis said that it was working to prevent the same fate as FTX.

3.	Total locked liquidity
Locked liquidity endorses the project’s security. However, when the founders intend to rob the investors, they often do not lock liquidity in smart contracts. It allows them to swindle out all the liquidity from a DeFi. 

Also, checking the project's total value locked (TVL) is advisable. Ideally, the TVL should at least be 80%.

4.	Pumping and shilling
Fake hype for any financial product is one of the easiest ways scammers trick investors. Through paid campaigns on social media, the founding team of a blockchain creates buzz around a cryptocurrency. Though it’s not illegal to advertise a coin, propagating false news about it is unethical. 

After gaining popularity, the criminals dump these projects, leaving investors clueless. That’s why you should avoid investing in shiny-looking tokens. 

5.	No third-party code audits

Rug Pull: What Is It?

On 2 September, through its [Twitter page](https://twitter.com/terra_money/status/1565718424222932993), Terra announced that its community had voted to pass a second LUNA airdrop proposal. The proposal would see more than 19.5M new LUNA sent to wallets that did not receive the correct number of the tokens during the project’s first airdrop on 28 May.

According to the announcement, the claim interface went live on 4 September and users had until 4 October to claim the new tokens. Unclaimed ones would be sent back to the community pool.

The first LUNA airdrop took place to compensate [LUNA](/news/article/terra-luna-collapse) and TerraUSD Stablecoin holders after they became worthless in May.

TerraUSD, once considered the largest Algo stablecoin lost its 1 to 1 peg to the US dollar on 9 May. The company sold its Bitcoin reserves to try and save the algorithmic stablecoin, but ended up affecting the native token, dropping its price by 99%.

UST redemption efforts affected the entire crypto market. Bitcoin dropped to $27,000 and wiped out nearly $400billion of the total cryptocurrency market value in May alone.

The new tokens are to be distributed according to a two-year vesting schedule. 

Wallets holding less than 10,000 LUNC or AUST before the UST de-pegging from the US dollar will be subject to a two-year vesting schedule. The vesting schedule is intended to avoid liquidity instability, according to Terra.

## Issues

Both the first and second LUNA airdrop moves had distribution problems. Several users went on Twitter in May complaining about getting fewer tokens. Ashwsbreal, for example, on 29 May, 2022, [tweeted](https://twitter.com/Ashcryptoreal/status/1531002032840093696), “Lost $300k in LUNA. Got an airdrop of $59. Thank you Do Kwon and team".

The concerns were noticed by Terra, as the platform on 30 May [tweeted](https://twitter.com/terra_money/status/1531410663674888192) that some users had received fewer tokens than they expected and that they were working on a solution.

Several UST holders complained about their token distribution on social media after the second batch of the new tokens dropped.

A Twitter user named Joshcantcode1 [posted](https://twitter.com/joshcanspam/status/1566464297567502336), "Still hilarious that I had $3,500 UST and will never see it again! Thank you, Terra, for looking out for the community".

## Network hard fork

After UST crashed, Do Kwon proposed the creation of a new chain. Kwon is the founder and CEO of the platform. 66% of the project’s community agreed with the proposal, which led to the launch of LUNA 2.0, which has no connection to the UST stablecoin.

The new tokens had a great start. They entered the market on 28 May worth $4.94, and by 31 May, they were worth $10.72. They would, however, take a negative turn and drop to trading between $2 and $1 most of the months. As of writing, each of the coins is worth $2.74, according to [Coinmarketcap](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/terra-luna-v2/).

The coins are currently ranked the 99th largest cryptocurrency with a live market cap of $347,374,415. 127,475,474 of them are in public circulation.
