After seeing an impressive rise following the collapse of [Terra](/news/article/terra-luna-classic) in May, Circle's dollar-pegged USDC coin has experienced a massive downfall.

The market capitalisation of Circle's [USDC coin has plummeted sharply](https://cryptopotato.com/usdc-lost-20-of-its-market-capitalization-in-the-last-30-days/) since the Tornado Cash scandal.

The stablecoin appears to have lost market share to rivals such as [Binance](/news/article/binance-hack) USD (BUSD), the world's third-largest stablecoin, and Tether. Since early July, the BUSD market value has increased by 21% to $21.66 billion. Tether has risen by 3% to $68.3 billion.

USDC dropped nearly 20% of its market capitalisation last month, falling from $53.3 billion to just below $43.9 billion. Almost $5 billion of stablecoin was withdrawn in a single day (26 September), depicting a loss of roughly 9.2% of its total capitalisation.

## The effects of freezing cash-linked Tornado addresses

Although the coin started to lose popularity in July, the action to freeze more than 75,000 circle coins of funds associated with 44 [Tornado Cash](/news/article/tornado-cash) addresses was a turning point that led to backlash and a wave of withdrawals.

Even MakerDAO, which had a significant portion of its reserves backed in USDC, viewed Circle's actions as a breach of privacy rights. 2.	Miner nodes: Miner nodes run a CPU network and perform various computation tasks by renting computer power to the network.

Phala is being developed as a [Polkadot parachain](/news/article/polkadot-parachain-auctions), or a custom blockchain that feeds into the main [Polkadot](/news/article/polkadot-price-uk) blockchain, known as the Relay Chain. Polkadot's shared security, transaction settlements, and consensus are all handled by the Relay Chain. Phala gains access to Polkadot's core features via integration with the Relay Chain.

When the data reaches the secure enclave, it is decrypted and executed. The information request's results are then re-encrypted before being sent out of the enclave.

According to Phala, any computation run on the platform is private and versatile across use cases, whether machine learning data for enterprises or smart contract execution for DeFi apps.

Phala, for example, used its technology to develop Web3 Analytics, a platform that collects and securely processes personal data. In that case, confidential smart contracts can only perform data analyses on this data if the users authorise it, giving them complete control over their data.

PHA is the Phala Network's native utility token and is used in its cloud-based economy. The PHA token, with a maximum supply of 1 billion, aids in network security and governance mechanism.

## Evergrow coin price - What is EverGrow? 

According to CoinMarketCap, EverGrow's native token was the 3,250th largest cryptocurrency as of 2 September, with a self-reported market valuation of $91m.

According to their website, awards are computed based on the amount of EGC held and the daily volume. 
BUSD, when specific volume criteria are met, is distributed; low transaction volume may result in a longer threshold trigger period. The token features a buyback and burn option; more than 50% of EGC passed to a burn address. The initial maximum quantity of the companies' tokens was one quadrillion.

EverGrow's repurchase reserve amasses Binance Coin (BNB), used to purchase EGC on the open market and transfer it to a burn address. As previously stated, EverGrow allocates 2% of transaction fees to its repurchase reserve. 

Based on [BscScan](https://bscscan.com/token/0xC001BBe2B87079294C63EcE98BdD0a88D761434e#balances) on-chain statistics, around 139,800 addresses possessed EGC on 2 September, 2022. EverGrow's burn address had approximately 53% of EGC's maximal supply. The highest EGC-holding address had 51.13 trillion tokens, accounting for 5.1% of the entire supply before the burn. As of 2 September, 2022, the second richest EGC-holding address had around 3.4% of the token's total supply before the burn.

## The action of EverGrow coin price 

EGC interest peaked a few weeks after its inception when EGC token transfers began to surge. On 7 October, 2021, less than a fortnight after the debut of the EverGrow Protocol, EGC was selling for $0.00000006575, according to CoinMarketCap data. As per BscScan data, EGC token transfers increased in the last week of October 2021, peaking at over 70,000 transfer counts on 1 November, 2021, the same day EGC reached an all-time high of $0.000003379.

Since then, the amount of token transfers on their protocol has decreased, and the price of EGC has followed suit. As of 2 September, 2022, EGC had lost around 78%. EGC reduced losses by climbing 37% in the previous seven days.

EGC is one of several coins experiencing unfavourable price behaviour due to the risk-off shift in market opinion toward cryptocurrencies. This year, the crypto veterans [BTC](/news/article/bitcoin-price-uk) and ETH have dropped by more than 50%.

The ASH crypto token is available only through Pancake Swap. At this time, this project does not appear to be legitimate.

## How does ASH function?

According to their website, the ASH token is governance-based, supposedly allowing token holders to decide how the initial token sale is allocated. The ASH crypto website claims that additional liquidity will be generated through transaction fees. It does not prove any of this through any technical documentation or verification.

How this token will support transaction fees still is to be seen. ASH token is on the Binance Smart Chain and can only be bought via Pancake Swap. This is then used to fund the creation of something called the Phoenix Launchpad. This is the "ecosystem" in which ASH token holders will be involved.

The website says that the ultimate goal of ASH is to create something called a Phoenix token. The company claims it will use a proof-of-work (PoW) mechanism that mints the tokens based on an amount of pollution removed from the environment, determined by the type of pollutant.

The project has a [website](https://www.ashtoken.io/), a [whitepaper](https://www.ashtoken.io/pdf/ASH_PHOENIX_WHITEPAPER_130821.pdf), and a teams section with what appear to be real LinkedIn profiles. However, there is an apparent lack of oversight and regulatory approval. It claims that it will fund eco-initiatives and even has a section for applications to something called the Ash DAO Fund, a fund that is supposed to support green tech and clean tech projects.

With the [large number of crypto scams](/news/article/crypto-hacks-peaking-october) out there, it's worth waiting to see if further developments and news are coming out of this project. What is Ash Crypto Token?

Chinese economists and analysts have long considered limiting their dependence on dollars. The team included Zhou Xuezhi, Liu Dongmin, and Song Shuang, all hailing from the Institute of World Economics and Politics, a research unit of CASS.  

The article was published towards the end of September. It shared the researchers’ views on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and insisted on a common token to reduce Asia’s dependence on USD. 

## How would the ‘China token’ work?

The analysts further proposed that this China token will work like most existing [CBDCs](/news/article/india-cbdc-launch). That’s why it would leverage distributed ledger technology (DLT). It would also be backed by a basket of currencies. In total, there may be 13 different currencies backing it to give it stability. 

Most of the currencies involved are from Southeast Asian countries. Moreover, the medium of exchange of 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will be backing the digital currency. Consequently, Chinese Yuan, South Korean Won, and Japanese Yen will be part of the bundle.

Wonderland is an Olympus DAO fork built on the Avalanche Network. Its ecosystem works on the Proof-of-reserve (PoR) mechanism. 

PoR requires bond reserves for validation. If you own different tokens through which you can mint TIME, you can become a validator.

Secondly, as the buyback strategy was public, many investors joined the campaign to make profits. They took loans to purchase more wMEMOs and pledged their existing coins as security. So, when the value of wMEMO continued to decrease, investors liquidated their funds to pay off debts. With more liquidation, the price dropped further. This jeopardised the firm's financial state as the overall debt constantly increased. 
The debts also caused a delay in the airdrops. Airdrops are a percentage of coins acquired as a venture capital fund. Three airdrops needed to be distributed among investors between December and January. However, all of them got delayed, causing more suspicion among investors. 

#### 3. CFO Sifu's controversial background
One of the significant blows for Wonderland crypto was the controversial background of its CFO. Investors started to lose confidence as its pseudo-anonymous CFO, Sifu, turned out to be Michael Patryn. He is a convicted felon for the $100 million scam through a Canadian exchange. Patryn disappeared with the money in 2019 and launched Wonderland in 2021.

Patryn also worked with the lending firm, Abracadabra and MIM for this project. Meanwhile, Abracadabra Money founder, Daniele Sestagalli, declared that he knew about Patryn. But the CFO himself withdrew millions from the treasury before exiting. Though the firm tried to cover it up as compensation for his services, it raised many questions about a rug pull attempt.

Luna Classic (LUNC) is the native token of the original [Terra LUNA](https://www.terra.money/) blockchain. After the Terra collapse, Do Kwon planned a recovery strategy that included building a brand-new chain where all future transactions would occur.

Do Kwon created a recovery plan for the blockchain that stipulates that the blockchain will go through a hard fork and split into two chains, and the new chain won't have any stablecoin.

On May 25, 2022, the blockchain validators approved the plan and, on May 28, Terra 2.0 launched.

LUNA is Terra 2.0's native token. Meanwhile, the original blockchain has been renamed Terra Classic, and its native token is LUNC.

## The Luna hard fork

Do Kwon proposed a hard fork to revive the network after the entire ecosystem collapsed. When two chains split from the original chain, this is referred to as a hard fork. The new and old versions remain functional, but they no longer interact with one another.

Terra Classic is a tribute to Ethereum Classic, created after the Ethereum DAO hack that split Ethereum in two in 2016.

The current TimeTicket platform is popular for connecting people who want to buy, sell, and exchange knowledge. Users will also receive TimeCoins for purchasing services on TimeTicket. The coins are currently ranked the 1,246th largest cryptocurrencies by market cap in the world and are worth $0.02659 each.

The coins are listed in several exchanges, including UniSwap, [KuCoin](/news/article/kucoin-crypto-metaverse), Gate, Pancake Swap, AscendEX, and Mexc Global, with the ticker $ZEE. Sadly, they are not listed in most major exchanges.

## Price History

ZEE crypto was first tradable in October 2020. At the time, each of them was worth $0.0722. They traded between $0.04 and $0.05 till late November before appreciating, trading between $0.06 and $0.07. By the end of the year, the coins were worth $0.06033.

The coins began 2021 trading between $0.06 and $0.07, appreciating to $0.1496 by the end of January. They would continue to appreciate, trading above $1 for most of February before dropping to below $1 by the end of the month.

ZEE would again start trading above $1 in late March, going up to $3 for a few days in April. By the end of April, it was still trading above $1. The last they traded above $1 was May 15th. ZEE would then drop to trade below $1 for the rest of the year, ending it worth $0.2168 each.

The coins began in 2022, worth $0.2168 each. By the end of January, they had dropped to $0.1246 each. The coin appreciated for a little while in February, ending each month worth $0.1389. 

By the end of March, the coins were trading at $0.1428 and $0.09886 by the end of April. ZEE would continue to trade below $0.1 for the rest of the months to the time of writing.

## Is It a Good Investment?

A few things make ZEE crypto worth considering as an investment option. Firstly, the coins have a lot of use cases in the ZeroSwap ecosystem. There are plans to add more utilities to the tokens as the protocol continues to grow.

Secondly, the tokens might be currently experiencing a bear run but considering their history; they have had a good run, which can be repeated or made better in the future. A few crypto prediction platforms consider ZEE an excellent long-term investment option.

Thirdly, the coins live in an ambitious project that, if it successfully fulfils what it set out to do, might help with the tokens’ price appreciation. In contrast, Kai still has the remaining $33.5 in the ORCA contract in case any other risk liquidation arises.

The United Kingdom's interest in [Bitcoin](/news/article/btc-crashes-below-$19k) will grow "very quickly," as fiat currency volatility makes BTC appear to be a stablecoin.
