[Stakemoon](https://stakecoins.com/top-10-best-staking-coins/) is a decentralized protocol that rewards investors who have a long-term outlook. ## Ambitious roadmap
Like several young projects in the saturated crypto market, this protocol comes with a great roadmap. Overall, the presale of tokens was successful, and so was SMOONs listing on PancakeSwap. Overall, if the team behind the project can see their roadmap through, the token could be coming for some of the mega cap crypto currencies lunch. 

However, the project has not lived up to its hype after its novel token SMOON hit PancakeSwap in November last year. Overall, the all-time high (ATH) in trading volume was $331,109 which was recorded on 1st December 2021. On the same day, SMOON reached an ATH price of $0.006649. The monthly high trading volume for July was $303 which is a 99% plunge from December’s high. 

Moreover, it faces infinite competition from well-established crypto projects. There are more than 20,000 cryptocurrencies in the space, as of July 2022. About 100 are well-grounded and have loyal followers. A project with weak fundamentals and metrics (trading volume, market capitalization, and lack of accessibility due to limited listings) will struggle to bring enormous gains to investors.

Pi also held a so-called #BuildPi2gether Hackathon from June to September, where it gave an award of 100,000 Pi and $100,000 to the most promising business application projects.
On May 19, Pi tweeted that it had reached 35 million engaged 'Pioneers' and its Twitter page has 1.2 million followers at the time of writing.


## Is it Safe?

The Pi Network gained popularity all around the globe, especially in Southeast Asia. At the same time, some analysts argued the network lacked transparency and were projecting doubts regarding its legitimacy since access to their private keys is not something that users have.

Dang Minh Tuan, a blockchain expert at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Hanoi, claims Pi Network is not transparent enough since it alone has "a smartphone app and servers to keep them running," adding, "so why don't developers release its source code for the community to review?"
Another reason that made people suspicious was the fact that the application has adverts. This could mean that Pi is selling users' data to advertising companies and, therefore, is monetizing users who downloaded the app. Apart from personal data that includes full name, phone number, and Facebook username, Tuan claims Pi Network could have stolen all other data a user has on their phone, including credit card numbers.

On December 29, 2021, Pi Network launched its mainnet. This is the official third phase of its deployment arrangement. Immediately after it was deployed, the network warned that anyone "impersonating Pi Network or its founders to conduct a sale or listing is illegal, unauthorized and fake".

Because the actual value of Pi Network is hard to predict, some argue that the project itself might be a scam. There are some forecasts of a single Pi becoming worth somewhere between $10 and $100. ## How Does Uniswap Work?

There are several reasons attributed to the change in fortunes from April. Notable is the re-emergence of Covid-related lockdowns in China, with authorities in China placing an international travel ban on Chinese citizens, preventing them from travelling for non-essential reasons. Shanghai, the financial hub of China, has been on lockdown since the end of March, with many people forced to stay at home without access to food, medicine, and other vital supplies. More than 30 cities across China are now under full or partial lockdown, affecting 220 million people. Travel has further been discouraged by a reduction in the issuance of travel documents which has fallen 6% since 2019. Passport renewals for non-essential travel also stopped in February.  

Many people that invest in cryptocurrencies believe that it is the latest version of gold, especially Bitcoin. However, while gold prices have risen 3% in 2022, with the S&P falling by 16%, the same cannot be said for Bitcoin. It fell as low as $25,402, matching its 52-week low. This resulted from a mass sell-off due to the instability of TerraUSD (UST), which failed to hold its 1-to-1 peg with the US dollar and fell as low as $0.45. In turn, the downward selling pressure in the stock market has been due to high US inflation and the aggressive countermeasures of the Fed, with CPI rising by 8.3% in a year and inflation being at its highest since 1981. 

Earlier in the month, the Fed had raised interest points by 50 bps to a target range of 75% and 1%, with the Fed Chair announcing a further 50 bps is on the cards over the next two FOMC meetings. They will also begin allowing $30 billion in US Treasuries and $17.5 billion in mortgage-backed securities to come off its balance sheet starting in June. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February also sparked a mass sell-off in the stock market, which in turn affected cryptos.  

Recently, specifically related to Cardano, there was an increase in its Block size on the main net to improve the transaction performance of the dApps. However, this did not seem to affect the price.

According to crypto experts, more than 500 projects are currently built on the Cardano blockchain. The token distribution is almost 90% retail, with this number likely to increase. Polygon, formerly known as Matic Network, is a Layer 2 scaling solution supported by Binance and Coinbase platforms. The project aims to promote the massive acquisition of cryptocurrencies by fixing scalability problems on multiple blockchains.

Polygon integrates the proof-of-stake blockchain architecture and the Plasma Framework. The framework operated by Polygon, as stated by the co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, authorizes the manageable implementation of scalable and independent intelligent contracts.

The native token of Polygon, MATIC, is an ERC-20 token operating on the Ethereum blockchain. The token is used for Polygon payment services and as a settlement coin between users who work within the Polygon ecosystem. Trading fees on the Polygon sidechains can also be paid with these tokens.

•	Gamma is going live on Polygon. It is an operational liquidity administration platform for Uniswap v3, delivering non-custodial, automated, concentrated liquidity management services.

•	SynFutures has evolved as the most significant derivatives-based decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Polygon network, with a moderate monthly market volume closing of $1 billion.

•	Stader Labs' liquid staking solution is advancing soon to Polygon. This will allow MATIC coin holders to open liquidity and leverage their funds in one of 7,000 Polygon-based GameFi and DeFi apps — all while staying staked!
